B.Tech Mathematics and Computing (MnC) is a 4-year program. Mathematics and Computing (MnC) is a fusion of Mathematics and Computer Science that has obtained wide acceptance as a distinct discipline over the past few years. Mathematics is a fundamental tool in computing, and computation is central to solving mathematical problems.
The program aims at expanding the mathematical, algorithmic and computational thinking of students and at providing a sufficient and solid foundation for skill development in MnC. BTech Mathematics and Computing can work as Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, Computer Programmer, Computational Engineer, Internet Commerce Worker, etc.
With a strong mathematical foundation, abstract concepts could be studied and analyzed mathematically and real-life problems could be modelled mathematically. Algorithmic thinking would enable us to solve these mathematical problems in an automated way and computational thinking would allow for evaluating the efficiency of these solutions.

2. They should also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjects.
3. Almost all the top engineering institutes in the country admit students on the basis of entrance examinations like JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
4. There is also a round of counselling held after qualifying for the entrance examinations.
5. The selection of candidates for admission is done either through direct admission or through a national-level entrance exam such as BITSAT, NATA JEE Main, JEE Advanced, IMU, CET, etc.
6. Those students who have completed Polytechnic, a diploma program, after Std. 10th, can take lateral entry examinations and directly get admitted to the second year.
Admission Process
1. Basic education of 10+2 from a recognised institution with any stream with 45-50% marks.
2. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
3. Some universities also conduct personal interviews before granting admission to the students.
4. Valid score for JEE Main or JEE advanced exam.
Career after B.Tech Mathematics and Computing (MnC)
After completing the program of B.Tech Mathematics and Computing (MnC) career has a great scope. It is rightly called the evergreen field as it is the only branch of engineering. You can even try for government jobs from the Mathematics and Computing (MnC) stream. A good number of jobs are available for Mechanical Engineers in Public sector companies, Railways, etc.
An applicant after productive completion of a degree in BTech Mathematics and Computing can take occupations in various organizations. BTech Mathematics and Computing graduates can also opt for MTech courses in the same or different specialization to seek a higher position and education.
